NDS celebrated its 4th anniversary on 13th June 2009 at its second centre at 66. Every program responsibility from management to performance was handled efficiently by our motivated deaf staff team on their own accord! |

It’s Magic ! :
Dr. Penguin and Captain Treetop from USA and Netherlands performing their Magic Circus show at the Sector 26 Club Noida on 8th June 2009. The special show was arranged as a part of the 4th Anniversary celebration of NDS. |

Session on Women's Ethics :
A special session was conducted by Ms.Ruma on 14th May at Sector 66 wherein guidance was provided to all our girl students regarding ways of conduct in society and other related issues. |

Sign Language Workshop :
NDS continues to spread awareness about the deaf and their life through sign language oriented workshops every year. Sardar Patel School has always been supportive in this attempt and invited NDS to conduct workshop from 14th to 17th March 2009. The students also visited NDS centre at sector 66 to interact with our students. |

| Dental Workshop: On 17th March 2009 a workshop on dental care was conducted by Dr.Sunil Joshi Kashyap. Students were explained about dental hygiene and the habits that cause infection and tooth decay. Free samples of Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush were distributed to the deaf students. |

Exhibition visit: NDS students visiting the exhibition ‘Seeds of Change: the Earth Charter and the Human Potential’ at Khaitan Public School, Noida Sector 40 on 3rd April 2009. The exhibition was organized by Soka Gakkai International and the Earth Charter initiative and has won third prize at 2002 World Summit on sustainable development. |

Enjoying the colours of joy together: NDS students celebrated the colours of joy together with our instructors at the NDS centre at Sector 29 on 9th March 2009. |

Getting Sporty: NIIT Ninjas with NDS Tigers at the Noida Stadium, on 14th February 2009. A friendly match was held between the two teams, where the tigers were tamed by the Ninjas. Yet tigers did claim the man of the match title. |

| Ruma Roka receiving the prestigious National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled Person’s (NCPEDP) Shell Helen Keller Award on the eve of 2nd December 2008. NDS bagged this honour as the Best Employer. |

NDS participated in the11th DDA Cricket Tournament for the Hearing Impaired on the 14th of November 2008. The debutcompetitive match of NDS was held at the Rohini Sports Complex. NDS won this match, marking its beginning with a victory. |

A field visit was arranged for the NDS graphic design students on 27th November 2008 at the NIIT office in Kalkaji, New Delhi. The visit was organized with the purpose of giving relevant exposure to work environment and other matters related to graphic design. |

NDS opened its second centre at Noida Sector 66 on 3rd October 2008, in collaboration with R.C. Malhotra Foundation Trust. The new centre has been set up to accommodate a larger number of students enrolling for various NDS courses. |

| The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, (FICCI) in association with Socio-Economic Development Foundation (SEDF) invited Ruma Roka as the guest speaker to deliver a lecture at their workshop on ‘Introduction and Orientation to Industry Workshops’ on 17th September 2008. Ms.Ruma delivered a lecture on ‘Sensitization at the Workplace and Adaptability of the Deaf to Work Environment.’ |

Zamir Dhale, deafblind icon, visited NDS on 26th August 2008 and reciting his heartwarming story of the overall struggle and development through life. |

Two interns from the Gallaudet University for Deaf, Washington D.C, U.S.A. conducted c lasses in July 2008. These classes emphasized particularly on improving written communication skills in English. |

First batch of Graphic Design students securing the prominent NIIT Certificate in Graphic Designing in January 2008.18 students secured the certificate for the first time in India. |

| Ruma Roka was chosen as the Indian Sign Language Interpreter for the Indian Deaf Team at the International Abilympics held in Shizuoka, Japan in November 2007. |

A mime presentation was performed by our Deaf students for the Minister of Social Welfare and Empowerment at the Shilp Utsav at Dilli Haat, New Delhi in October 2007. |
|
The MS Office course started in collaboration with the Jagan Institute of Management Studies from July 2006. In this six months course, 15 students were enrolled. The subsequent certification ceremony took place in July 2007 at Arun Vihar Community Centre. |

NDS had arrange an educational trip to NIIT and a printing press to give our students exposure of a work environment on 14th March 2007. |
